Who says Christmas music is just about carols?
On Thursday December 21st Melbourne audiences will be treated to the December (Christmas) edition of Red Bull Sound Select at the Northcote Social Club.
Red Bull Sound Select is a program designed to support up and coming local artists by pairing them with more established performers via a program of monthly live shows. The line up for each show is handpicked by leading music influencers. The curators for this event are Ben O'Connor and Guy Blackman from Chapter Music.
The event will be headlined by NUN who will bring their sci-fi inspired brand of synth music to the stage. Their self-titled LP featuring Jenny Branagan on vocals showcased the band's electronic pop sound and ensured that the country sat up and took notice.
The very well connected Jonny Telafone with his special take on R & B will also perform. His debut album back in 2015 was Romeo Must Cry which saw him collaborate with multiple artists including TV Colours, Danger Beats and LA rapper Bones (A$AP Rocky).
The second opener of the night is composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist V. Returning to Melbourne from a 10-year residence in uber-cool Berlin, V will be joined by synth duo Honey aka Rory Stenning and Luke Keanan-Brown, a new act from Canberra.
