The Red Beetle is a cafe restaurant in Caroline Springs. Just overlooking the man-made lake, it is a hit with the locals and many tourists. The best part of this cafe is it serves breakfast till about 4.00pm. It is crowded over the weekends and definitely worth a try.

It's probably the nth time I am going to this cafe. It is special to me as my partner and I have had many endless chats, arguments and happy times here. I have also visited with many friends and their children, which has also made the cafe loveable and close to my heart.

Red Beetle offers a variety of food and all day breakfasts in class and style. Every dish has a 'Red Beetle' touch to it and is served by friendly staff. Their in-house cakes are worth a try despite one's worry over calorie count. They serve French toast, pancakes, focaccias and pastas. There are also kids meals making the little ones delighted too.

This cafe is kid friendly and provides high chairs and babycinos. On a typical day you will see a lot of mothers with their prams and children.

Smashed Avocado

I had 'Smashed Avocado' and my partner had 'Poached Eggs on Toast' and it sure made our taste buds and tummies happy. The smashed avocado looked smashy with different colours. It was on toasted sourdough with cherry tomatoes, black sesame, creamy feta and extra virgin olive oil. And the coffee here does justice to its name .

They serve alcohol and fresh juices and all their fresh ingredients are carefully selected. Meals are prepared with the objective of giving the diner a good experience.

They have a 'Red Beetle' rewards card promotion currently happening that encourages food lovers to visit often. Please log onto their website for more details.

Getting bit by this Beetle is not so bad and is infact a tasteful experience. There are seats outside and inside the cafe to sit and enjoy a sunny day. A sure recommendation for a lazy Sunday or just a day out.
