As you can see from the comprehensive poster above, Space2b is working with the City of Port Phillip to recruit story-tellers in Mandarin, Hindi, Amharic and Arabic languages for storytelling to pre-schoolers at City of Port Phillip libraries. Looking to recruit 4 Community Language Storytellers in the City of Port Phillip, full training will be provided. People who live, play or have a connection to Port Phillip are encouraged to apply. The positions are on a casual basis and will be for 20 story time sessions per year. It comes with training and support for the right applicant. The location, timing and days will be determined by community needs. It's no surprise that Space2b is seeking creative, energetic, vivacious storytellers who love working with children in an engaging way. You need to be organised, motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working in a dynamic work environment and dealing with a diverse cultural community.

You will be delivering engaging Storytime sessions with pre-schoolers (babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their carers) in your community language. You'll tell stories, read age-appropriate books with animation and props, singing songs and rhymes. You are required to use your creativity, imagination, and experience to deliver a series of sessions that the kids look forward to every month and leave wanting more.
