A Truly Indulgent & Relaxing Experience
I recently visited Recreate Yourself Salon and was very impressed with what I experienced. Usually I don't really enjoy getting my hair done, as I find it fairly tedious and expensive. But I found this place excellent on many levels, it has been voted the Number 1 Salon on the Gold Coast and you can see why.
They have a complimentary drinks menu available including hot and cold drinks or wine should you wish to indulge, plus the hair washing chairs are actually massage chairs so whilst you are getting your hair washed, you get a lovely back massage too, then whilst I was having a treatment on my hair I also got a relaxing head massage. It all added to a very calming experience.
The staff are truly friendly and attentive in a really sincere way - other salons I have found it slightly forced or false. Plus they take the time to get to know you, what you like and don't like, what products you use and your general haircare routine.
People can be very particular about their hair, so I believe it's important for a stylist to ask questions, listen and offer practical advice - I find it frustrating when stylists don't listen and just do what they want rather than what the customer wants.
My stylist, Olivia, was excellent, she really listened and offered styling and product advice without pushing for a sale. She was friendly and chatty throughout and seemed to really care about what she was doing. I totally trusted that she would do a great job and would stick to what I asked for.
The cut and finish was just want I wanted and my hair looked ten times more healthy than when I came in. I was very pleased with the result, it is certainly the best cut I have had for a long time.
Recreate Yourself Hair & Beauty Salon
The salon also offers a range of beauty treatments too, such as massage, facials, nailcare, make up and waxing for both men and women. They also sell a range of products in store and online.
I will certainly be back to get a treatment or for my next hair cut as I think finding a salon where you feel relaxed and also listened to is definitely worth revisiting. They also offer a loyalty card - more value added - where you can get discounts, points and special offers. You also get three $15 off vouchers to refer some friends, perfect for organising a girl's day out where you all can save some money and be pampered.
Ladies cut with b/dry - $69
Mans style cut and finish - $30
Hair treatments - from $20
Express facial - $59 for 30 mins
Hot stone massage - $109 for 60 mins
Express manicure / pedicure - $39 for 30 mins
A great experience, with really friendly staff and a relaxed environment. If you are looking for a new salon, or for a change, then I totally recommend a visit.
Like them on Facebook for updates, offers and discounts.
Ha, I was there yesterday. It's the best for mens haircuts I have found also. They really take time to style my hair and like you say, the girls are genuinely friendly. Thats my 3rd or 4th visit and Emma remembers what we have talked about previously. Impressive! I can go to a barber for $10 cheaper, but i dont get the service, coffee, shampoo, or style finish.
