Moving Planet is an international day of action calling for real solutions to climate change - leaving fossil fuel behind and exploring cleaner energy options for our future.

While Port Augusta's rusty old coal-powered station is closing down, Adelaide groups are joining forces to call for a cleaner alternative by building a solar thermal power plant in its place.

Join the community in Adelaide to come together and 'reclaim the grid' - and show your support for a cleaner energy future in a vibrant street parade through the streets of Adelaide..

Meeting at 11am at Rymill Park, the community will take part in creating a model solar power tower before taking to the streets and parading to Victoria Square/Tarndanyangga in the heart of the CBD.

Reclaim the Grid will feature street theatre, belly dancing, face painting and live music provided by local young guns the Bearded Gypsy Band.
