Katy Warner is one of Australia's rising young stars of the theatre. She has directed (and won awards), acted (and won awards) and written very well-received and regarded plays (and won awards).
Originally from Perth, Katy is bringing one of her plays,
Reasons to Stay Inside to be part of the
Perth Fringe .
Reasons to Stay Inside won Best Kids Show at Melbourne Fringe 2015.
The play is part of The Blue Room's Summer Nights season and is a play which grew out of her own experiences with anxiety, although based in a deep-seated serious issue, the play itself is light-heartedly delightful and even silly from time to time and for all ages.
Pedro and Flora are friends. Best friends forever. They do everything together, go everywhere together, until one day Pedro starts building an enormous pillow fort and stays inside.
Tickets are selling fast, so be quick to support one of our own, and be able to say 'I saw one of her plays when she was still being called 'a rising young star'.
Reasons to Stay Inside runs the 22nd (5:30pm); 23rd (6:30pm); 24th (4:30pm and 6:330pm) and 25th January (6:30pm). Tickets cost from $18 and may be purchased on-line
