After a successful launch in November 2010, the 'Real People Real Stories' photographic exhibition is set to travel nationally. Its first stop is Melbourne's Brunswick Street Gallery.
Real People Real Stories' is the brainchild of Studio 76, which consists of photographer Rena Harvey and graphic designer Michael Hall.
The concept was to photograph real people, in real environments and situations, offering audiences an emotive viewing experience. Going by the motto, "Your greatest suffering will lead to your greatest transformation," the images more than live up to this.
Harvey and Hall have spent the best part of the last year putting the exhibition together, photographing a variety of people including ex-Richmond footballer Troy Simmonds and kickboxing champion Andre Meunier.
Offering a range of emotions in one setting, it is difficult to not be entranced by the stories the photos offer, along with the talent it took to capture them.
Brunswick Street Gallery offers the perfect environment to show off the exhibition to Melbourne's general public. Running from the 18th of March, through until the 31st, art lovers only have a short window of opportunity to experience this art movement for themselves.
