Reaching for the Moon, a true story set in New York 1951, is about a famous American Poet named Elizabeth Bishop.
Elizabeth Bishop, is a shy, lonely, American woman fantasising about Rio De Janerio, Brazil and what her old friend (Mary) and her lover (architect Lota) could do to help her poetry flow once more.

But instead of a few days, it turns to years, and a lot of changes occur, due to romance and politics. A beautiful film with laughs and tears.
