Step back in time but don't forget your coffee

My sister took me to a café yesterday, assuring me that I would love it. Sometimes she is spot on. Re-love Café is a real surprise situated within an Antique store.

It's a good thing that I know better than to judge a book by its cover because to be honest, the outside presentation could do with a little revamp. I have driven by countless times and it hadn't caught my eye or curiosity. I was sceptical going in but thrilled that I did. Be warned - you are going to want to stay a while because there is a lot to see!

The café serves Veneziano coffee which I thoroughly enjoyed, while my sister and mother sipped about three English Breakfast teas each from the large antique teapot they were served.

They offer slices, cakes and banana bread all for a mere $4 each. There are also sandwiches and other snacks should you need a rest while exploring the store.

We sat out side on recycled drums cushioned for comfort and a pallet table. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is friendly and the coffee is good. Not to mention the fact that it is nestled in the middle of a huge antique store. Inside the antique homewares are all tastefully displayed and clearly priced.

The store has two levels; they have just opened an antique furniture section and acquired additional space next door. You may end up having a few cups of coffee but it is well worth the visit.

If you appreciate the beauty of antiques and past favourites, add this to your 'must explore list'.
