The walls display retro records, the couches are draped with crotchet rugs and the whole place is dotted with items that are sure to bring back memories of days gone by.
At
Raymond's Cafe , you get a side serve of nostalgia with your food.
Raymond's has been a welcome addition to the Tuart Hill/Yokine area for locals, who might otherwise drive into Mt Lawley or Mt Hawthorn.
While the decor might make you think 'hipster' there is no pretentiousness about Raymond's.
Strawberry shortcake, Humphrey Bear and Garfield are just a few of the characters you might see around the cafe.
The cutlery tins are decorated with old Women's Weekly covers, the window ledges house items such as old-school tape decks and a rotary dial telephone the kids can choose from a number of games to keep them occupied, including Operation.
The cafe is situated on Wanneroo Road, north of Dog Swamp Shopping Centre and over from the Mighty Quinn.
Their menu may not be huge, or overly complicated, but they do the dishes on it well.
Raymond's is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.
The breakfast menu includes a number of egg dishes, pancakes, croissants, zucchini fritters, a vegetarian breakfast and of course- a big breakfast.
Prices are reasonable, with the big breakfast the most expensive of the morning dishes, coming in at $19.50.
For those looking for their morning wake-me-up-, Raymond's serves local coffee brand Yahava.
Aussie cafe staples such as homemade sausage rolls, a BLT, and a steak sandwich are available for lunch.
There is a range of fresh juices available and sweet treats and salads in a display case at the counter.
There is plenty at Raymond's to keep the kids occupied and they also have a few kids options on their menu.
