I don't think it gets much better than this. Don't let the term 'vegan' deter you, as these might just be your new go-to late-night craving snack! I know they have fast becomes mine.

Raw Goodness is an established dessert company based in Wellington New Zealand. The brains behind the operation are two friends Nicola and Danielle. The company has made a name for itself since its launch in 2016. The duo has worked on a range of incredible recipes for slices, cakes and cups that are raw and refined sugar-free.

I first stumbled upon the company when I was scrolling through Instagram and noticed their colourful slices. I delved further into their page and saw they had a unique collection of flavours that were photographed superbly that I had to try them out.

There are few items that can be ordered online via their Facebook page and website. The most popular, according to comments from fans, has been the mixed box and the peanut butter slice. I decided to give the mixed box a whirl and obediently paid my $45.

Despite being based in Canterbury and amidst the COVID-19 changes my delivery came in 3 days and was packaged in a neat box with ice-packs to ensure they stayed fresh.

The flavours in the mixed box range from the following: Double Choc Fudge Slice, Ginger Slice, Peanut Butter Slice (a crowd favourite using Fix & Fogg Peanut Butter), Lemon Raspberry & Coconut Slice, Cranberry Coconut Slice, Mocha Slice, Banana Turmeric Chocolate Slice, Raspberry White Chocolate Slice and a refreshing Mint Choc Slice.

Although it is very hard to tip the scales and choose one favourite from the delicious and vast range, I will go ahead and give a little bias and say the cult favourite is hands-down the peanut butter chocolate. This particular slice envelopes lashings of New Zealand's own Fix & Fogg peanut butter and provides the perfect sweet and salty treat for vegans and sweet-tooth individuals alike.

If you are looking for an option that is bigger on the scales, the birthday cake is also given a raw twist thanks to Raw Goodness and comes in a variety of flavours for those looking to celebrate a little differently.

The two options on the websites shopping cart and Facebook store are a peanut butter cake and a chocolate raspberry cake. That said, if given enough notice, the team are open to customising some of their slices into cake versions for birthdays, baby showers and weddings. Most recently on their Facebook page (and pictured above) is a three-layer custom-designed raw cake for a client. Therefore, if you cannot decide on one single flavour then perhaps a few different tiered options may just be what you are looking for.

Raw Goodness ship all over New Zealand and more information can be found on their website, Facebook and Instagram.
