Raw food can be so delicious - learn how here
Raw food is fast becoming the latest craze to hit the universe! With more of these outlets opening all the time, these foods are sometimes also suitable for vegans. I have tasted raw cakes from Crunchbox and they were delicious as per the article!
Now raw cooking classes and events are beginning to pop up around Perth and here are a few that look to be worthwhile attending.
INTRODUCTION TO RAW FOODS
If you are a beginner, then this class is a great place to start your journey into raw food.
It will be held on 9th February 2019 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm at Ayarah, Barnes Road, Roleystone. The cost will be $80 and you can make a booking here.
This promises to be a fun and informative workshop, where you will not only learn about the amazing health benefits of raw foods but you will also learn how to make the following foods:
Nut milk – cashews – brazil – hemp
How to flavour your milk for the children and the family
How to make your own flour – the art of dehydration
Create your own vegan yoghurt – flavouring ideas
Basic cream cheese spread – great for entertaining and switching from dairy
Vegan ice-cream – once you have made this one, you will never buy it in a shop again
At this class, all the food is included and you get to taste the food you make.
VALENTINES DAY COOKING CLASS: LEARN HOW TO MAKE RAW CHOCOLATE This Valentine Day, why not learn to make chocolate instead of buying some for your significant other? Or if you are single, learn it for yourself and to offer to friends - you may find you suddenly become popular! Most people like chocolate and once you have made your own you will love it even more!
This class will be held on Thursday 14th February 2019, from 10.00 am to 12 noon at Feld & Co., 6/496 Marmion Street, Booragoon.
This will be a hands-on class where you will be shown how to make decadent raw chocolate! No drooling here, please..... Raw chocolate is made using only whole food ingredients and it is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and coming back for more. And if anyone tells you, you have had enough, tell them you want "more than enough".
After you have been shown how to make the raw chocolate, you will then be able to flavour your chocolates with food grade essential oils, nuts, seeds and dried fruits. At the conclusion, you get to take them home to share if they last that long!

Morning tea on arrival with your choice of coffee/tea or a glass of champagne

RAW FOOD CLASS - SCARBOROUGH
This raw food class menu will consist of:

If that does not catch your interest, then you are not a foodie! I find all that food so tempting and all recipes here will be raw, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and soy free.
This will be on 16th February 2019, from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm at the Scarborough Leisure Centre, City of Stirling, 173 Gildercliffe Street, Scarborough. The cost will be $120 and you can make your booking here.
You will be able to watch as mouth-watering foods are prepared, and then you will be able to eat them all! You will learn how raw foods can heal your body and how you can incorporate these into your daily life. You will also be given hints, ideas and more. You then get to take home a booklet with the information, recipes and some special discount coupons.
FUNDAMENTALS OF RAW COOKING COURSE
If you want a more detailed course and a class where you will learn all there is to know about raw cooking, then this course is the one for you.
This series of classes is ON SALE NOW with a saving of over $390 for all early bird sign-ups. The first part of this one full month course is spaced over 8 classes and will be given 2 per week. There are over 24 hours of in-class lessons plus 8 hours of take-home recipes and work. This course is made for those people who love plant-based foods or wants to possibly even become a raw or vegan chef.
Studies have now shown that having a plant-based diet can reverse several diseases better than any other diet. Ayarah has over 3 years experience studying through Los Angles culinary institute of plants and more than 15 years experience in the health and fitness industry with plant-based food being a specialty.
The course will cover dehydration techniques, flavour balancing, raw sauces, fermented foods, raw sweets, creating recipes, knife skills, food photography and more!
There are limited spaces for this and there are two options for midweek classes or weekend classes. Classes are kept to a maximum of 8 people so that you can all get the attention you need.
