Your help gives life-saving support to those in dire need
Image - Act for Peace Ration Challenge
There are just 8 days left to register for this year's Ration Challenge which runs from 13 to 19 September 2020. You'll eat the same rations as a refugee for one week, raise money and save lives. Your charitable act will help bring emergency food, hygiene kits and life-saving support to the people (refugees) who need it most.
You'll be eating the same as a Syrian refugee living in a camp in Jordan. Just a small amount of rice, flour, lentils, chickpeas, beans, oil and fish (or tofu). Get your family and friends to participate by sponsoring you to raise funds for people going hungry as a result of this pandemic. Share your experiences on social media, including your journey of how it felt to live on those few rations, to help raise awareness and create a more compassionate Australia.
As this is a last-minute call and you are signing up late (participation is encouraged), you just need to source your own rations. From the moment you wake up on 13 Sep to when you go to bed on 19 Sep, drink only water and eat just 1) your allocation of rations, 2) any rewards you've earned and 3) a multivitamin (optional). Get the LIST HERE of what to buy. This challenge will show you just how different our lives are, and a realisation of how lucky we are. You'll also understand the conditions the refugees live under and will perhaps have a deeper respect and empathy for what they go through. Get the FAQs here.
