Join in the celebrations for the Chariot Festival of India at Elizabeth Quay on Sunday the 10th of November for a day of cultural immersion you won't be soon to forget!
In Indian tradition, thousands of people come to the streets to pull the giant chariots, chant and dance and then enjoy the delicious food given to all for joining in the celebration to honour the appearance of Lord Jagannath, Baladev and Subhadra.
The Perth event will take place from 11:30am to 5:30 pm, and this festival is sure to delight the whole family in a wide range of ways! You can expect a Kirtan meditation session, Indian dancing, chanting, face painting, henna art, spiritual books and gifts to check out and also a FREE vegetarian and vegan feast. How lovely!
At both 12:30pm and 3:30pm there will also be a chariot parade, so this really is an all-day event to enjoy!
Make sure you mark your calendars and bring the whole family down for a day of colourful celebration and cultural appreciation!
