Sit down at one of the ample tables at The Rare Pear and be prepared for great service, excellent food off the menu and a great selection of sweets and treats to enjoy. This Holland Park cafe is set on busy Logan Road but it manages to convey a tranquil and restful atmosphere despite the traffic and busy trade in the area. There is a number of outdoor tables to relax in and feel the breeze as you wait for your coffee and cake or meal to arrive.

Breakfast brings a feast of simple yet hearty foods on the menu and my eyes were instantly drawn to the Parmesan Brioche French Toast which came with bacon, eggplant relish, grilled asparagus, sautéed cherry tomatoes & mushrooms & creamy feta pesto sauce. It was also awesome to see such an inspired vegetarian option on the early morning menu as we often dine with friends who prefer not to eat meat and the Pumpkin, Zucchini & Feta Fritter would hit the spot for most.

For lunch, you couldn't go past the Chicken Parmigiana Burger which was topped with tomato ragu, bacon, mozzarella, rocket & herb aioli and would satiate even the hungriest of your party. The Beer Battered Chips here are particularly delicious and well-cooked with a crispy crunch to them which is always my marker for a good fry.

There's even a menu for the kids here so you can feel that the whole family is welcome to dine and enjoy this gorgeous cafe. The Rare Pear don't stop there when it comes to the little people in your life. Tiny Tots Tuesday comes around each week where all kids are given a free bubbacino to sip while the parents drink their bigger cappuccino versions.

The service here is great and your coffee and meals are out in great time so you don't feel that you need to take up your whole lunchtime waiting for your meal to arrive. With Di bella coffee on offer and experienced baristas, you get a sensational coffee each and every time as well as a range of milkshakes and healthy green smoothies on offer.

This is so close to my own home suburb that I can see myself heading here for a weekend breakfast or lazy lunch with mates to unwind and eat some delicious food. It's a perfect spot for brunch or even a casual work meeting if you can swing it.
