McKenzies Auctioneers first auction for 2017 will not disappoint featuring art by Australia's and Western Australia's most well-known artists as well as over 100 modern, vintage and antique pieces of jewellery on offer.

Artwork available for purchase will include pieces by Robert Dickerson, Hans Heysen, Kathleen O'Connor and Robert Juniper, as well as Aboriginal art and a collection of 19th up to mid-20th century British and European artworks.

Lot 9 Robert Dickerson Mixed Media, 120 x 120cm $20,000 - $30,000

The featured artwork, Lot 9 by Robert Dickerson, is a large depiction of a couple in a taxi and has an estimated value of $20,000 - $30,000.

Jewellery is a major component of this action and will include a large selection of precious stones including emeralds, sapphires, rubies, pearls and of course diamonds. There will also be a number of watches available including a ladies diamond Rolex.

Diamonds certainly are a girl's best friend at this auction, with rings featuring individual diamonds up to 6 carats, down to less than one carat, with all sizes in between.

Being estate jewellery for genuine sale, the variety is huge and the so is the discount from their valuations. Each item submitted to McKenzies for sale is carefully selected for quality and value. Many items on offer come with the seller's independent insurance valuation, providing a detailed description and a full retail replacement price.

There will also be antique and collectable furniture as well as other collectables on offer. Featured items include:

  • Lot 268: A fine Persian room size carpet having a valuation of $17,500 but starting from $2,500

  • Lot 275: An Australian Antarctic Collection

  • Lot 276: An early pearl Divers Helmet, sourced from Broome

  • Lots 307, 308 & 309: Rare Chinese Tang dynasty pottery figurines. More than 1,000 years old

    Last but certainly not least there will be a collection of Russian Faberge style items available as well as other antique silver items.

    Pre-auction viewing will be held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of March from 11am-4pm and on Monday 19th March 11am-5.30pm.
