Want to get fresh vegetables, tropical fruits or 'multicultural' foods in Darwin? Go to Rapid Creek Markets ion weekends. Rapid Creek Markets are the oldest markets in Darwin. Everything you need is there.

You need to go very early in the morning morning to get a strategic place to park your car. Then you can browse and choose what you need.

At the front of Rapid Creek there is Happy Food's store. It provides a variety of Asian food, such us pecel (an Indonesian favorite), medicine, herbs, flowers and spices. Chilli is a favourite and the most commonly needed.

There are a lot of vegetables, such as tomatoes, spinach, garlic, onion, chilli, kangkung, beans, and broccoli, as well as fruits such as rambutan, mango, jackfruit, bananas, grapes, strawberrys, oranges, and more.

In the middle of the road in the market, there are books about aboriginal arts and craft. You can also avail yourself of a massage to relax your body.

Toilet facilities are available. These markets operate every Saturday and Sunday from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm.
