Located where Shiv Sagar used to be, offers not only Indian cuisine, but a wide range of Indian sweets as well. The sweets are notably made using traditional recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

The Veg Thali was a filling meal for one, consisting of Dhal and Vegetable Curries accompanied with raita, Tandoori Roti, rice and a glass of Lassi. All the vegetables in the Vegetable Curry still retained a bit of bite and the spiciness of the gravy should be suitable for most tastes. Compared to the Vegetable Curry, the Dhal had a more liquid consistency and the degree of spiciness was milder.

We liked that the Tandoori Roti was not too tough and was brushed with some ghee to give it a bit of sheen. The accompanying raita and Lassi acted as a foil to the spicy curries. Lassi is a buttermilk-like drink that is typically made from yogurt.

When ordering their sweets, they are typically ordered by the kilogram. Their Besan Chakki had a bit of a crumbly texture and the taste was similar to coconut. For those who are concerned about its sweetness, it was not too sweet. As a finishing touch, the Besan Chakki was decorated with a bit of silver leaf.

For those wanting something a bit unique, there is the Bread Pakora, consisting of a vegetable filling sandwiched between bread coated in batter before being deep-fried. The filling had a texture that was not too soft. The spiciness was not too hot and the bread was cooked sufficiently to give it a golden-brown colour. Accompanying the dish were mint sauce and tamarind sauce.

While we liked both the Kachori Chaat and Samosa Chaat, we preferred the Samosa Chaat due to the extra texture provided by its main ingredient. Both of them had a good amount of mint sauce and yoghurt to balance out the spiciness of the Kachori and Samosa. A sprinkling of crushed fried noodles added some crunch to the dish.

The restaurant was very roomy and the décor gave it a relaxed and casual feel. If you are looking for a good place to enjoy Indian sweets and dishes, consider giving a visit.
