On Sunday the 28th of August 2022, you are invited to join National Parks & Wildlife Service rangers for a guided walk to the hisĀtoric well in Ngarkat Conservation Park . The Nanam Well has been restored with native pine and is as it would be back a hundred years ago. Along the way, you will traverse through mallee environment and see wild orchids which have been brought to life by recent rains. You will gain insights into not only the area's history but also its flora and fauna.

Starting at 11am, the two-hour hike will require a medium level of fitness and is suitable for those aged 7 & above. Enclosed footwear such as hiking boots is recommended. Please meet at the Pine Hut Soak Campground on Centre Track. Vehicle entry fees apply within the conservation park and a 4WD is required to access the campground. However, the walk itself is free and bookings can be made online via their website . Ngarkat Conservation Park is situated in Pinnaroo approximately 270 kilometres from Adelaide.
