Explore one of the island's favourite beaches
river ramble

Lashmar Conservation Park has long been one of the favourites for beach lovers. Just 20 kilometres from Penneshaw, you'll find an ideal swimming, fishing, birdwatching and canoeing location within Kangaroo Island.

On Sundays the 5th and 12th of December 2021, the park's rangers will be leading a two-kilometre guided ramble along Chapman River from the Chapman River Campground to the sea. You are invited to come and learn about the river and estuary ecosystem as well as its array of birds, fish and mammals. Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in a beach game.

The ramble is free, however, bookings are required. So, if you're interested, head to their Eventbrite website today to secure your spot. Please note though that there will be some walking on sand and enclosed footwear suitable to get wet is recommended.
