Ranga's Bakery @ Bayview Rd McCrae

Our local secret is out. I have been very reluctant to review this marvelous McCrae gem as, well, I was selfishly keeping it for the grateful locals.
Over summer, however, it was clear Ranga's Bakery was not a secret any more so I'm now ready to share the reason behind this success story. Firstly, this bakery is open 7 days. That means anytime I have a whim for baked cheesecake, a spinach and ricotta roll or even an organic coconut juice from their fridge selection, I can just walk on down my street and indulge.
Having been a health nut for the majority of my life, the first thing I did to the lovely Sarah and Dean is grill them mercilessly on their ingredients given other bakeries in the region were using questionable contents. I was stunned when Sarah took that so well and proudly but humbly let me know that their ingredients were definitely in the healthy eating category. The food is baked in front of you on the premises and they are very happy to not only answer questions about their ingredients but to also make loaves to order to cater for special dietary requirements.
You may know of the McCrae shops, but Ranga's is up the hill a bit so follow Lonsdale St from the beach, up over the bridge, turn right at the roundabout and look for Ranga's on your left in the small group of shops.
I love the inviting atmosphere of this place. Large natural timber tables and soft bench seats make it perfect for a small group meeting. I have conducted a meeting there shortly after Ranga's opened and Sarah and Dean looked after us like VIPs which impressed my guests.
If any budding writers, coffee connoisseurs or fellow philosophers are in the area please let me know and I can run on down and give a big peninsula welcome.
Disclaimer: my hair colour in no way indicates any bias towards this marvelous bakery.
