Head to a less tourist attractive beach in Sydney
To continue on with my previous article which talked about some of the great hidden places in Sydney for photographic opportunities, this time I want to turn your attention to Ramsgate. More specifically Ramsgate Beach. Although Ramsgate is a separate suburb to Ramsgate Beach it is still an area you need to explore. Let's first talk about where Ramsgate Beach is exactly.
Ramsgate Beach is a separate suburb to the east and is surrounded by the suburbs of Monetery, Sans Souci and of course Ramsgate. Ramsgate Beach is located 16 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district in the City of Rockdale.
Why is this place so special?
Well I am so glad you asked. Not many, especially those who do not reside in the area don't know about Ramsgate Beach and with that in mind makes an absolutely perfect environment for beach type photoshoots.
You still get the backdrop you so desire from being at the beach, but with less crowds that more popular beaches like Bondi for example that seem to exhibit 90% of the time.
I recently had an opportunity to photograph a lovely couple and their 11 month old son at Ramsgate Beach and I can safely say it was one of the most satisfying photoshoots in a location I have ever done. If you were to visit the likes of other more popular and tourist destined beaches such as Bondi, you will not get many opportunities such as these:
I highly urge you to plan your next visit to the beach to be at Ramsgate Beach for your next family day out, and when you're done there don't just pack up and go home.
Why not head on over to the nearing suburb of Ramsgate for some local residential shopping experience including the Organic Foodies Market with more than 45 stalls to satisfy your taste buds and is open every Saturday?
