For martial arts enthusiasts and fans, Vikings Promotions are bringing a Muay Thai fight night right to our doorsteps.

Rampage in Redcliffe will open its doors 6:00pm at the Redcliffe Police-Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) on Saturday 26th May 2012.

The Main Event will be an exciting fight with Vicious Vaughan Hanson of Vikings Muay Thai Vs. Nick Trask of Corporate Box Gym.

There will be a full supporting schedule which will also include a charity Tag Team event.

This year will also include the Queensland Super Bantamweight title between Jenny Cavangh of Fighting Dragons and Stephanie Taylor of Ultimate Muay Thai.

Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand which uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. It is similar to other Indochinese kickboxing systems.

Muay thai is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact", giving it a difference to other martial art styles.

All ages are welcome to come and watch some of the best fighters in Australia, who knows, it may even inspire you to become part of this fast growing sport.
