If you're looking for a cheap Japanese feed in the Eastern Suburbs, look no further than Ramen Kan at Bondi Junction. Unlike Sushi Train , this place is extremely kind to the wallet (depending on what you choose, of course). There is some variety and although it is crowded at times, this is for a reason.


Do not come here if your expectation is fantastic service, as often staff are abrupt and they do not understand you. Come here if your expectation is cheap and tasty food only.


If you like green tea and black sesame ice-cream like I do, this is one of the few places that's open later in the evening at Bondi Junction where you can obtain it from. They sell the real deal, not the packeted "gelato" sort that you get in some places.


Although I'm someone who dislikes poor service, I would still recommend going to Ramen Kan for their menu because their food is quite nice. The last couple of times I have been there, the service wasn't as bad as what it used to be. Perhaps they have been taking on their feedback.


The portions at Ramen Kan are definitely worth the money, so I really recommend that you do try it out – especially if you are an impoverished university student.
