Stallone reprises his role as Vietnam Vet John Rambo in Rambo: Last Blood . R Rated for strong graphic violence, grisly images, drug use and language, it's not one for the kids.

John Rambo finally returns home to live a life of peace as a cowboy on a ranch in Arizona. Gabriela (Yvette Monreal) is his housekeeper's granddaughter and is like a daughter to him. Upon discovering her biological father is in Mexico, she has her heart set on going to meet him. Sneaking off against good advice, things take a turn for the worst when she's kidnapped by a violent cartel running a sex-trafficking ring.

This sets the only possible solution in motion with Rambo heading to Mexico to bring the only family he has ever known, back. He gets beaten down, but leaving him alive so he can relive the pain could well be a big mistake for the cartel. Knowing they will be coming for him to rectify their mistake, Rambo returns home to prepare for the onslaught.

Actress Paz Vega and Yvette Monreal star alongside Stallone in this 90 minute film. Straight up, the grisly scenes have earned their R rating, and are not for the faint-hearted. The tempo of this film is thoughtful and reflective with a montage of the past. It also touches on PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and the struggles of a soldier who comes home trying to find peace.

If you're a Rambo or Stallone fan, you cannot miss what may or may not be the last in the Rambo series. Stallone now has years of experience up his sleeve and settles back in the saddle to play the role with ease. Cowboy Rambo living on a ranch is a whole new take to get used to, but it sits well with the storyline of a Rambo in his 70s, settling down to live in peace. As the underdog rises to meet the cartel, you get a glimpse of the accomplished soldier of experience, yet Stallone keeps it realistic as the older Rambo preparing to take on the cartel.

Comfortable in his skin and still fit enough to convincingly be Rambo, Stallone is still very watchable, especially for the die hard fans. Others will go unnoticed but his latest adversaries, the cartel's brutal brothers do grab a chunk of your attention. Love him or hate him, Rambo has survived and I do believe, thriving in this must-watch last? instalment.
