Beautiful homestay in Bali
Located in the centre of Ubud, Raka House is a great homestay for the traveller looking for something not too expensive but with the right facilities.
I spent a good morning wandering around the centre of this beautiful town looking for somewhere that was comfortable and friendly, with wi-fi and at the right price for me, because Bali can be a little expensive for backpackers.
I was impressed by the rooms here, with a decent sized bed and privacy, ensuite bathroom and typical Balinese style garden surrounds.
Not only did it have all the facilities I needed, but it surpassed them with a swimming pool, albeit not the cleanest, and breakfast included as standard.
Breakfast was simple, fruit, tea and something different each day, like an omelette or toasted sandwich or pancake. One day when I was sick, the staff at Raka brought me some rice soup which really helped out my upset stomach.
All in all, I was very happy with my time here and would probably go back again next time I'm in Ubud.
