Rainforest Feasts is 30 pages long and is suitable for children 3 years and older. It retails for between $10 and $14.99. It is written in rhyming verse and features colourful and eye-popping illustrations.
Rainforest Feasts is about all of the animals who live in the rainforest who only come out of hiding at night when most people are sound asleep so they can explore the rainforest and get ready to feast!
I enjoyed reading this book to my daughter. It was an educational experience for us both. We learnt about loads of different animals like the Brown Tree Snake who slides down to the ground to hunt, and the Striped Possum who eats bark and beetles and grubs, and the Glow Worm which weaves sticky threads to catch insects that would be drawn to their light.
Each page is devoted to one animal and has a few lines of information about them which contains their name, a description, and what they eat. The first page reads '
A small sugar glider with stretchy skin wings sails past to sip sap and eat other sweet things.'

Rainforest Feasts would be a great book to read in a classroom setting. The kids will learn about life in the rainforest and how all of the animals who live in it have their role to play in how the rainforest functions.
