Rockhampton Botanical Garden on 100 Spencer Street, West Rockhampton, will be dazzling with lights starting at 7 pm for the most amazing festive lights events, Radiance.

Multiple artistic displays with striking installations, including dazzling laser effects, light sculptures, interactive projections, and magical holograms will turn the Botanical Garden alive. Not only that but you will also be accompanied by lush soundscapes and digital art experiences as you follow the gorgeous walking paths through the Botanic Gardens .

The entry for the Radiance lights event is just behind Rockhampton War Memorial Cenotaph inside the Botanic Garden, not far from Gardens Tearooms . The light show is about Dasher, one of Father Christmas's reindeer, and his journey on Christmas Eve with Father Christmas. Several sections of the installation explain Dasher’s journey and all the ups and downs he got while accompanying Father Christmas.


This light show is suitable for all ages and can be enjoyed by anyone. Some of the light installations can be touched and reached by young children because the place is low enough. There are some interactive installations, such as searching stars that are buried amongst the snowflakes, fake snow made out of soap bubbles, and more.
