Fuchocs, Balfours frog cakes and Farmers Union Iced Coffee. You just are not a local unless you know and love these three dietary staples of everyday living here in South Australia, where life is Heaps Good .

Lucy Gransbury is an Adelaidean and she sings its praises loud and proud.

South Australian born and bred, Lucy almost knows us better than we do. Her show was an endless dig at the quirkiness of living in Adelaide. And oh did the audience love it. Her hit show Radelaide, had the packed room in gales of laughter. We're a good humoured lot here in good ol' Radelaide - we know that if we can't laugh at ourselves, then who can we laugh at? Well, apart from Melbourne that is - part of being a South Australian is that we make fun of Melbourne too.

Lucy's stand up was simply hilarious. Her songs, with very recognisable tunes, were brilliantly re-invented to deliver a distinct Adelaide flavour. Her Melbourne song raised the roof - I think that song got the loudest roars from the crowd. Hmmm...funny that!

The power outages, Veale Gardens, Julia Gillard, the RAH, our Southern Expressway, Dazzleland and Magic Mountain. Even our tram "it's easy to find - we've only got one!" got a mention - and we all 'got' it. Cos we live here and we know.

We go shopping at Foodland (the Mighty South Aussies - YEAH!) with Lucy, where as we all know, we can run into someone we know every 10 seconds. And, we're related in some way to nearly everyone in town (ie, the city for those who are not familiar with our lingo). Life in Adelaide is like that.

Radelaide is brilliant. More than brilliant. It's heaps good! You must get along and see this show. If you know how to turn right at the Brittania roundabout and you can describe a pair of Anne Will's earrings from memory, then you really are a ridgy didge Croweater and it's your duty to grab a ticket and laugh yourself silly. But, be quick! Shows are selling out and Lucy's season is limited. There are only a few shows left!

So.... where did you go to school?
