Rachel Rising Volume 6: Secrets Kept - Book Review

It's getting hard to sum up the story since so much has happened, but this is the penultimate volume, so if you don't know what's happened so far this is really not the place to start. In this volume we see Aunt Johnny back in action, working at the morgue, and Earl and Jet finally start dating. Rachel is awake from her death coma again, after some mysterious visions which give her a lead to help find the serial killer that is stalking the town of Manson.
Rachel Rising has a slow, meandering plot, in the manner of
Twin Peaks, but there are a few more revelations in this volume. At last, we find out who killed Rachel (probably). We also learn the answer to a couple of other pressing questions; What is Rachel's connection to Lilith, and what does Earl look like without his glasses?
I've become thoroughly hooked on this comic, with its dark humour, strange storyline and beautiful art, and I'm sorry that it's nearing its end. There is just one more volume to go:
Rachel Rising Volume 7: Dust to Dust and I'll be interested to see whether Terry Moore can actually tie up all the loose ends in time.
