Kick off the Festive Season at the Christmas Pageant
One of the largest and most popular Christmas events in Australia, the annual RAC Christmas Pageant returns to the streets of Perth on Saturday 2nd December 2017. The wonderful RAC Christmas Pageant 2017 is an event that the whole family will love, and a festive event not to be missed.
Proudly brought to you by the City of Perth, Channel Seven, The West Australian and the RAC, this popular festive celebration is loved by young and old. Every year the pageant draws large crowds so it is advisable to get there early to secure a good spot. Make sure to bring a blanket or a cushion to sit on, (no chairs), and remember to stay behind the 'Blue Honour Line'.
The streets of Perth come alive with colour and Christmas magic as the pageant moves along. This event brings families from far and wide to be part of the festive magic and of course to catch a glimpse of Santa. The Christmas Pageant features a dazzling array of light covered floats, dancers, bands, clowns and performers - not to mention the ever-popular Fat Cat.
The Christmas Pageant starts from 7.30pm from the corner of St George's Terrace and William Street and then travels along the Terrace, finishing at Ozone Reserve. The pageant travels at a slow speed so that all patrons can enjoy the Christmas floats and performances. Surrounding roads will be closed from 5.30pm. The Christmas Pageant takes approximately one hour to complete.
