A great park for families on beautiful Moreton Bay
Raby Bay Esplanade Park in Ormiston, Redland City, is a great space for families to get active.

Starting with the kids, there is a range of playground equipment, some of which was recently updated. This includes two playground areas with climbing equipment. One is more traditional, with a platform, slide, and fireman's pole. The second is much newer, includes a rope wall and brightly coloured climbing walls.

This park also has a basket ball court for older kids and teenagers at the edge of the playground.

The park is appropriately themed for the area, with dolphin and koala playground equipment. Both of these animals can be seen from this park. Koalas can be seen in the trees around the playground, while dolphins can be seen in the adjacent canal and area of Moreton Bay.

There is a foot / bike path that leads down to a little sandy beach on the edge of Moreton Bay.

This beach varies by tide - at high tide there is a smaller sandy area, while at low tide the mangrove environment and mudflats with their associated wildlife can be explored.

Parents aren't forgotten here and there is a fabulous range of exercise equipment. This includes more traditional gym equipment, and a new exercise area that was installed in 2019 with weights and the like.

In addition to the playground and exercise equipment, Raby Bay Esplanade Park has large grassy areas for ball games, picnic tables, and a gas BBQ.
