You can always rely on
QVM Brocante Marche to bring back that little bit of nostalgia. A reminder of elegant times gone by, revived and repurposed for modern day living. Sometimes, it's not always a reminder of an era of elegance. It might be an item that states how hard life was without modern conveniences at the time. No matter the response it evokes from you, you can take joy in the fact that creative minds have saved these goods for you to add a touch of elegance to your homes. Make sure you join the
Event Page to be in the 'know' as updates happen.
This next market, its 6th is on
Sunday 5 July 2015 from 9am to 4pm at Queen Victoria Market, C Shed, Peel Street, Melbourne .
There'll be the usual favourites like
Gigi a la maison ,
Vintage Online ,
Vintage Linens & Collectables ,
Historyonic ,
Juste Parce Que, Nature's One ,
Issera Soy Candles ,
Milton Bear, Gnosis Books, Chooh La La ,
The Coffee Man and more.
Between these stalls, you'll find a treasure chest full of goodies to rummage through on a lazy Sunday morning. There'll be beautiful laced linen, vintage jewellery like Staffordshire China floral brooches, household goods, home decor, soy candles and dare I say much more.
One of the stallholders, Norma, has just returned from a visit to France and she has lots of beautiful 'new' items for you to check out.
Milton Bear Vintage's Russell Jacobi has been in the business for many years and has a broad knowledge and wide range of skills that includes but is not exclusive to being a secondhand dealer. He also has a very interesting vintage shop in Bay street, Port Melbourne, which has been going for many years and it specialises in prop hire. You'll also find him at his large stall at Chapel Street Bazaar. He'll be bringing a selection of silk kimonos, a range of pharmaceutical/laboratory equipment, bric-a-brac and possibly some succulents to the markets so make sure you come and check him out. If you don't' make it to the markets, you'll at least know where else to find his other stores.
The same goes for
Vintage Linen & Collectibles ,
Juste Parce Que ,
Buttons To Go and
Kate & Rose . These four businesses have got together and opened up a shop under the umbrella of
Vintage Linens & Collectibles at
519 Brunswick street, Fitzroy, so make sure you pop by and catch up with these ladies 5 days a week from
Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am to 5pm and Thursdays from 10am to 7pm. It'll be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Sounds like a lot going on so make sure you don't miss the QVM Brocante Marche on the 5th of July and pick up some beautiful baked goods by
Nature's One . A family owned business they grow their own grain and the flour is milled using traditional stone milling methods to maintain the integrity of the whole grains. With them you can trust that the quality of the product has been maintained every step of the way, starting at the farm and continued through to the finished product. Happy market moments at
QVM . Make sure you have a hot coffee and some croissants while you're at it.
