QV Melbourne at the corner of Lonsdale Street and Swanston Street in the City are bringing you Happy Days to shake the last of those winter blues away. Running from Thursday 29 August to Sunday 22 September, QV are intent to put a smile on your dial. QV Melbourne's laneways and outdoor QV Square (level 2) areas will be transformed into a playful world of colour and light.
There'll be new interactive installations that'll invite play to transport you to a happy place. Neon Artist Carla O'Brien is hugely involved with her latest touchable, new, neon art exhibition. Carla is also creating Happy Space, an immersive neon art room in QV Square, with a candy wall, inspirational messaging and plenty of interactive Instagram moments.

You might remember the famous Neon Angel Wings Carla created, which shot to fame when they were worn by songstress Katy Perry at Burning Man in 2016. Since then, you may well be one of the over 2.5million people who have witnessed Carla's iconic neon art at festivals and events, across the country. Carla's work is always about engaging with people. First the bright lights and colours grab your attention; but it's how you interact with the piece that brings it to life.
You'll now have a giant rainbow coloured 3metre long Neon Archway to contend with. Her biggest piece ever created, the colours of the rainbow are a pure expression of happiness, hence Carla is hoping you'll get dressed up in rainbow clothing for the occasion, and have your own runway looks beneath the archway. To top all that off, Carla herself will be hosting a select number of visitors inside Happy Space at 6pm only, on both Thursday 29 August and Friday 6 September for a special Meet The Artist opportunity.
Going along with the happy theme also reminiscent of carefree, childhood days, on weekdays, there'll be FREE rainbow cheese toasties, rainbow hot chocolates and make-your-own rainbow fairy bread (with rainbow icing) at the custom-build Happy Bakery at this FREE event. Seriously, what more could you ask for! Oh Happy Days!
Well, perhaps a happy dog therapy day on Friday 13 September with Guide Dogs Victoria? Pat a pup and feel the love. Several dogs will be available for a Pat and Chat with paw-shakes, cuddles and happy snaps, with the friendly staff from Guide Dogs Victoria on hand to assist.
