Impress friends and family with handmade xmas gifts
Sunday 13 October, 2013
On Sunday 13 October, Quota International of Carindale will bring you a Craft & Gift Fair like no other. Running from 9am until 4:30pm at the Belmont Services Bowls Club in Carina, attendees will find themselves presented with amazing workshops just right for making those personalised gifts for ready for Christmas, or purchase some of the pre-made items on sale.
Admission to the Fair is $6 for adults and $3 for children, which entitles you to a free gift bag, as well as a chance to win lucky door prizes which will be drawn every half hour. Once inside you can book in for your workshop, with costs ranging from $10 to $20, which includes instruction and all construction materials.
With Christmas just around the corner, there are plenty of creative ideas for presents. Why not create a beautiful Aqua Bracelet on Old Gold Chain for a favourite Aunt, or learn how to make a cute embossed Beehive Fridge Magnet using Crystal Effects for your child's school teacher?
Christmas is also the season for parties and there are many card idea workshops to try your hand at so you can send out really special invitations. Card Candy helps you to create cards by stamping and punching card, or create a 3D card with blocking techniques. For a bit more of a challenge, create your own card using weaving techniques, or if you're like me and short on time, then Quick Cards will show you how to make a quick card without having to worry about shopping first.
Kids are not forgotten, and you can try your hand at making a cute teddy bear out of chipboard card and scrap paper, or create a cute little Xmas Stocking just right for hanging on a Christmas Tree.
