Famous for the Quokkas that roam the Island and are prone to smile for your camera for that perfect shot,
Rottnest Island in Western Australia is hosting the
Quokka Birthday Party and you're invited. Come along and celebrate the adorable quokka joeys who are ready to leave the pouch for the first time this month to hop out into the big wide world. A free celebration event held on
Sunday 18 September 2022 from 10am to 4pm AWST at
Thomson Bay Lawn, Colebatch Avenue, Rottnest Island, you'll need to
register all members of your party to attend; including children. Come one, come all, as there's lots happening on the day.

To make your Quokka Birthday experience extra special, children aged 12 and under receive free same-day return ferry travel and free admission to Rottnest for the month of September. Please note, ferry tickets to Rottnest Island are not included. Plan your journey and purchase your

As you can see from
the program , there's a host of activities and entertainment that includes live music, dancing, party games, arts and crafts, plus a very special rendition of '
Happy Birthday' in honour of our furry little friends. Party Central kicks off with a
Welcome to Country at
10.15am. Kids can meet Happy the Quokka on the day, and enjoy party tunes, art and craft activities and giant games all day. After all that activity they can relax with story time and Australian animal yoga.
Continuing with the Indigenous theme, there'll be Aboriginal dance performances and workshops on the day as well. Live music will be playing at various locations all day. so get your boogie on as marching bands and music performances are going to take over your senses. Looking at the program, it's definitely catered with lots of activities for the kids with a lot of opportunities to find out more about the quokkas and about sustainability and conservation from the Rottnest Ranger, and eco-friendly enthusiasts at Kids Nature Club. Between a screening of Daisy Quokka, silent disco, scavenger hunt and more, the kids are going to be run ragged with fun activities. You know what to do, to attend a fun day out for the whole family.
