On Friday May 24th 2013 a Quiz and Raffle night is being held at Perth Soccer Club, who have kindly donated their rooms free of charge for this special night.

There will be three raffle tables set up with raffles of $2, $5 and $10 (to enable everyone to buy a ticket). There may also be a silent auction which is always fun to participate in.

For $15 per person this quiz night aims to raise money for Daniel, a 22 year old young man that has been diagnosed with testicular cancer and secondary lung and stomach cancer. His friends are organising this night to help pay for ongoing treatment.

He does not wish for any special treatment and has expressed that any leftover funds raised will go directly to the hospital to 'pay it forward' as they are doing so much to treat him.

He is unable to continue with full time work. Now with the extra expenses they are really struggling but still determined to move forward with the treatment.

The initial monies raised will go towards getting him back on his feet during treatment as well as the testosterone hormone replacement which is $16,000.

There are a lot of families in similar situations and Daniel does not want to be singled out by any means, but his friends have arranged this night for him which is lovely.

It sounds like a fun night as most Quiz Nights are and as it is for a special cause I think that makes it just that bit more special.
