Whimsical and Magical
If you are looking for holiday accommodation that is best described as "out of the box," Quirky Cottages, Coochiemudlo Island should be your next getaway destination. Owners Hayley and Benjamin strive to ensure that all guests enjoy a multitude of "whimsical and fun" experiences.
Getting to Coochiemudlo Island
The ferry crossing to Coochiemudlo Island takes just 10 minutes, with services running every half hour from Victoria Point Jetty. Current ferry operating times are 5:15am - 11:30pm weekdays, 6:30am - 11:30pm Saturdays and 6:30am-11:00pm Sundays.
Quirky Cottages is located a short ten-minute walk from the ferry or a five-minute walk from the boat ramp. Guests can visit the Quirky Train Farm and sleep aboard its carriages or select from 3 themed cottages with flexible and varied accommodation options.
The Quirky Train Farm is home to a small menagerie and features 7 train carriages, each painted a different shades of purple. Farm entry is a $10 donation per family.
Three quirky themed cottages are also available for hire. The "Lamina Amour," oozes charm and character, perfect for a romantic vacation. The "Beach Shellay" Cottage" is a playful chalet style home with surf board kitchen shelves, actual boat beds for the kids, hula skirt curtains and more! The "Cow House" features bright colours accentuated with cow-print décor and an outdoor grazing pasture.
