Working towards the end of St Kilda Rd, food options start to look a bit limited. Of course, there are gems such as Wabi Sabi Garden , Green Eggs and Ham and Fitzrovia , but a rotation of three places becomes repetitive eventually.

Thus, my coworkers and I are always eager to find other interesting places to eat in St Kilda, which I've shared below:

1. The Banff : 29/145 Fitzroy St, St KildaLocated on Fitzroy St and near the 96 tramline, the main attraction is their $6 individual pizzas during their peak hours.

The selection of pizzas is definitely not limited and they even have specials. They also have a few pasta options, but the pizza is good for value. It also has a pub feel, plastered with posters and programs, so good for a drink too!

2. Mikoshi : 151-155 Fitzroy St, St KildaWhat my colleague revealed about this place is their sushi burgers. Now I've experienced a ramen burger and also a sushi burger in Melbourne, but this version sounded different.

The ingredients and flattened, stuck-together rice were encased in two lettuce cups, held together by a toothpick. The menu outlined how to eat them but we all just did our own thing!

It's not too big though, and since lettuce is mainly water, it did not feel satisfying for $15. You will probably need to something else to fill you up.

3. Little Pho Cafe : 1/618 St Kilda Rd, St KildaVietnamese is a popular cuisine, but limited on our end of town. Luckily we have the Little Pho Cafe, where you can dine in for a bowl of beef noodle soup or grab a Vietnamese baguette for takeaway.

It's not authentic as Vietnamese restaurants in the suburbs and the servings are not as generous, but it provides an option on this end of St Kilda Rd.

4. Woodfrog Bakery : 108 Barkly St, St KildaThis is one of the cutest bakeries I've ever spotted, with all types of bread on offer and old fashioned toasters on the table.

They don't have an extensive menu but have specials such as soup and baked eggs, which is all you need when there is so much bread and plenty of tarts and pastries on display.

5. Miss Jackson : 2/19 Grey St, St KildaThis cute little cafe is almost hidden from view, blending into the residential side street with its everyday exterior.

The food is lovely, albeit not the biggest servings compared to other cafes, but the atmosphere and unique homely feel makes up for it.

6. Food trucks
Food trucks stop quite regularly on Fitzroy St just near the St Kilda junction tram stop and across from the park.

The Taco Truck and Beatbox Kitchen often stop by whilst the new Hammer and Tong truck even made an appearance with their soft shell crab burger.

Having been in the area for over a year, it's been fun discovering all the local places. However, I'm aware there's plenty more to discover so feel free to comment below with any gems you know of in the area!
