Learn to make and edit a short film
Quick Flicks event
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at filmmaking? Now you can have this opportunity as the Swan View Youth Centre in association with the Bendigo Bank are holding the "SEEN AND HEARD" Festival. This is held during the Darlington Arts Festival in November, and this event gives young people aged 12 - 19, the opportunity to make and submit a short film, which will be viewed at this Arts Festival.
There are awards which will be given out and students from Guildford Grammar, Eastern Hill and Helena College have previously won these. There is also a $250 cash prize award and people attending the event will be able to vote for their favourite film.
Seen and Heard will be hosting two film workshops during the October School Holidays and they will be based on creating and editing films.
The actual filmmaking workshop will be held on 28th September, and there are limited spaces only, so if you are interested contact them for more details. They are now looking for filmmakers, or aspiring young filmmakers, who would like to learn/enter in this year's event, or perhaps even make this a special hobby or career to follow.
The editing part of the workshops will be held on 7th October, and will be facilitated by Film Bites. As there are also limited spaces for this, make sure you get in touch with Seen and Heard as soon as possible to ensure YOUR space for this exciting event.
