If film is more your thing, then you might enjoy the Queerscreen Short Shorts event for over fifteen-year-olds on the 6th of October 2024 that starts at 5.30pm and goes until 10pm at the fully accessible Umina Surf Lifesaving Club.

Short Shorts is part of the Queerscreen aspect of the Coastal Twist Festival and returns with a bang with a fantastic showcase of short films from the world. Come to laugh, cry, learn, and smile during this evening which will deliver serious goosebumps in a feast for the eyes, heart, and palette. Come to check this out after you’ve had a fun-filled day at the Coastie Carnie Fair Day after people-watching, supporting local vendors, and connecting with the community. Here, you can take the time to wind down and celebrate the Coastal Twist Festival at the surf club.

Listen to tunes to help you wind down as you have sunset drinks overlooking the ocean and the coast on the big deck with panoramic views. This is open to ages 15 and over with an inclusive experience for everyone attending. You’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere as the DJ plays great music amidst the crashing waves on Umina Beach.
