For the love of reading, writing, and ideas, that's what Queensland Writers Week is all about.
From the 10th to the 16th of October you can participate in a variety of activities all over Queensland from workshops and panels in Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast Write-a-thon to the Yungaburra Book Fair and a Fairfield book launch. The Queensland Writers Week has a lot to offer whether you're an aspiring novelist, successful author, avid reader or interested civilian. For Program and other details visit the Queensland Writers Week Website.
You don't need to live near any of the many locations holding events to participate either. The Australian Writers Marketplace is holding an online writing race on the 11th of October and everyone's invited, for more information and to book visit AWMOnline.
Many events are free, including the writing race, but that doesn't mean you don't need to book a spot, so get in early and you won't miss out.
These are just a few of a wide array of reading and writing activities and events that Queensland Writers Week has to offer. I can't wait to flex my writing muscles and learn something new about the world of writing, can you?
