One of the world's best young cellists will take to the QPAC stage this Friday night, joined by a renowned American conductor, both celebrating their Australia debuts.

Spanish cellist Pablo Ferrandez has been feted across Europe for his performances, while conductor Robert Trevino has worked with some of the world's best orchestras. They will be joined by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra for what will be their only Australian show.

Trevino will conduct Symphony No. 2 by Sibelius, as well as Dvorak's Carnival Overture -- another beautiful piece that you can listen to below.

Even if you aren't normally a classical music fan, I think you'll find this concert stirring and engrossing. And you could go for free, if you enter our competition.
