The Queensland Pops Orchestra's Broadway on Screen is a spectacular celebration of the Broadway movie genre at its immortal best, headlined by Lucy Durack, one of Australia's leading ladies of stage and screen.

Experience the thrill of the greatest musical theatre songs ever written as Patrick Pickett and the Queensland Pops Orchestra take you on a star-studded journey of Broadway screen greats, brought to life by passionate young performers who give their absolute all.

There are so many evergreens who have enjoyed massive international success on Broadway, but equally important are the magical hit movie versions they spawned. In inimitable Queensland Pops Orchestra tradition, maestro Patrick Pickett has hit on an absolute winner, drawing the very best Broadway moments from the goldmine of screen musical classics that have touched the hearts of millions around the world.

Headliner Lucy Durack has a long list of major roles to her credit and was most recently seen as Glinda the Good Witch in the original Australian cast of Wicked (GFO). Other career highlights include Katie Halloway in the feature film Now Add Honey (Gristmill), Chantelle 'Tugger' Waugh in the TV series Doctor Doctor (Nine Network/Essential Media) and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde The Musical (GFO) for which she won the both a Sydney Theatre and Helpmann Award.

Joining Lucy are the superb young feature artists from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, who received a standing ovation at the hugely successful Broadway & Beyond in 2017. These gifted young performers are truly the stars of the future.

The Queensland Conservatorium continues to produce musical theatre professionals of the highest calibre and is currently offering a Bachelor of Acting course, with study across a range of genres, including ensemble work, technique classes, acting for camera, industry-led workshops and public performances no wonder this wealth of Queensland talent has been so enthusiastically and publicly embraced!
