Queensland music legend Katie Noonan has released her first program as Artistic Director of Queensland Music Festival (QMF), revealing a program that spans contemporary and classical music, large-scale community events and education programs. It includes big names like Kate Ceberano, Montaigne, Isaiah, Lior, Steve Kilbey, David Hobson, Elena Kats-Chernin and Manu Delago, alongside big ambitions to unite thousands of Australians in song during July.
Queensland Music Festival is your chance to hear and be heard, with an eclectic and exciting range of musical experiences to be had across the entire state. There are too many events to list here, but these are some of the highlights:
You're the Voice on 29/7/17 in Brisbane and state-wide with thousands of choir members.
I6 Lovers Lane on 14/7/17 in Brisbane.
Songs That Made Me in Brisbane at the Tivoli on 16/7/17 with Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway and Hannah Macklin; and around the state with local artists.
David Gray in Brisbane on 23/7/17.
Stradbroke Chamber Music Festival in natural paradise around Straddie from 28 to 30 July will be the culmination of the Festival.
