This newly refurbished shop in the Queensland Museum offers a great range of interesting items, locally handmade products, books, gifts, contemporary homewares, mementos, jewellery, science toys and a plethora of curiosities and collectables.



The is where you'll find gifts and presents for your family, friends or something for yourself. It is certainly a place to shop for Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays and many other special moments.

Doscover a range of popular books like The Wild Guide to Moreton Bay, Wild Places of Greater Brisbane, Wildlife of Greater Brisbane and Birds of Australia.

Grow Your Own Bushfoods , by Keith and Iren Smith, is a comprehensive and practical guide about growing and harvesting more than 140 kinds of native Australian bushfoods. The book has good natural history information.

Australian Rainforest Seeds - CSIRO Publishing. Learn how to grow rainforest trees and learn the importance of rainforests. Authors: Michelle Chapman, Mark Dunphy, Steve McAlpin, Paul Nelson.

Illustrated Plant Glossary, by Enid Mayfield, explains more the 4,000 plant science terms.

Plant Names is a very useful guide to the use of scientific, commercial and common names for plants. The book has been written by horticultural botanists at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. Authors Roger Spencer and Rob Cross.

This little encyclopedia wants to explain the Great Artesian Basin in all its aspects and describes what can be seen when travelling across its vast distances.

Mangroves to Mountains is a 576-page full-colour field guide, great for identifying the native plants of south-east Queensland and northern NSW. Approximately 2450 species of plants are covered, most with colour photos, and each having a description that includes plant size and form, leaf details, flower and fruit details, time of flowering, and some relevant information such as edibility, or whether it's a threatened species. There are also illustrations to accompany some species. Authors: Glenn Leiper, Denis Cox, Jan Glazebrook and Kerry Rathie.

Kate Kelly: The true story of Ned Kelly's little sister, by Rebecca Wilson. Kate Kelly was the younger sister of the famous outlaw Ned Kelly. As a teenager, Kate was the messenger and the decoy for the Kelly Gang and she was present at the gruesome Glenrowan siege. Kate Kelly was found mysteriously dead in the lagoon outside the NSW town of Forbes in 1898.

You read about convicts and conquistadores, silk traders and Buddhists who have hiked in different places for different reasons.



There are books about bees, beekeeping basics, harvesting honey, beeswax, candles and other bee business. The Beekeepers Journal is the perfect tool for beekeepers for entry daily beekeeping, records, observations and to-do lists. It is also great for keeping ideas, thoughts, recipes, sketches and more. Personal experience.

I love visiting the , there are always new books and new items. It is pure happiness browsing through the interesting books and the beautiful cards. The is also a very good to find nice presents for friends and family. After shopping, there is the opportunity to visit the museum which has an entire section dedicated to dinosaurs.

Muttaburrasaurus langdoni was a herbivorous dinosaur feeding on plants like conifers, cycads and ferns. It was found on all the continents and lived between 210 and 65 million years ago.
