Griffith University is a public research university in south east Queensland and has five campuses located on the Gold Coast, Logan City and the Brisbane suburbs of Mount Gravatt, Nathan and South Bank. Current total enrolment is approximately 43,000 and the University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across ten discipline areas including Arts, Education, Business, Health, Law, Engineering, Information Technology, Environment, Music and Visual Arts.

Griffith's Queensland College of Art (QCA) will open its doors to the public for a special four-day event this month from Thursday 27th through to Sunday 30th November. Showcasing the work of graduating students from Visual Arts , Photography , Design , Film , Animation and Games Design, you will see first-hand and be able to talk to Queensland's young aspiring artists.

Many of the works exhibited are for sale, which also assists in kick-starting the artists on their way to professional careers.

Commencing at 4.00pm on Thursday with an exhibition preview, the event will officially open at 6.30pm. Refreshments are available on the night and you can nominate your wish to attend by filling out the registration on the QCA 2014 Website.

Over the weekend you can also take advantage of guided tours, artist talks, Q&A panels, master classes and workshops, plus food and market stalls. Stalls include Ugly Food & Co, Dutch Treats, Jamroc Jamaican Jerk Hut and handcrafted artistic chocolates by Chocolae.

You may like to attend a Jewellery Making Workshop on Friday or a Beekeeping Demonstration on Saturday. Framing Workings by Artis Pura are also available on Saturday.
