Queens Square hosts various events , including puppy classes, and the opening festivities for the Kernewek Lowender bienniel Cornish Festival , which runs May 17th - 21st, 2017. Besides organised activities, Queens Square is a lovely green, treed park in the centre of Moonta for walks, picnics, and family gatherings.

Fringing Queens Square (variously known as Queen Square, or Queen's Square) are some of Moonta's iconic historic buildings, including the 150 year old Methodist Church, now a Uniting Church which still holds regular Sunday Mass. A hall behind the Gothic church building hosts the NYP Art Group .

The (Northern Yorke Peninsula) NYP Art Group regularly holds exhibitions, including taking part in SALA in August 2017 with an exhibition in the neighbouring Moonta Art Gallery , in the former Town Hall on George Street - also fringing Queens Square.

In the centre of Queens Square stands a slightly neglected but beautiful fountain featuring fish-tailed cherubs!

When visiting the Copper Coast, make time for a walk in Queens Square and enjoy some relaxed green time!

There are public toilets at the Henry Street side of Queens Square.
