Relax and have fun on the long weekend
This year the Queens Birthday Public Holiday falls on Monday 29th September, 2014. So, a lazy long weekend is looming in Perth and if you're looking for a few last minute ideas, here are some suggestions.
Celebrate the upcoming long weekend at Crown Perth. Have a delicious meal at one of the fantastic world-class restaurants, catch all the AFL Grand Final action on the big screen on Saturday, enjoy free live entertainment every night, pop in to the Merrywell Sunday Session, try out Crown's newest bar 'Jimmy Wong's Bar & Supper Club' on Friday and Saturday, or head over to the Eve nightclub for an Epic Long Weekend Party on Sunday night.
The Aviary Rooftop Restaurant and Bar has DJ Beats from 7pm on Friday 26th September, the AFL Grand Final on the big screen on Saturday 27th September, Urban Lawn Party featuring The Brow on Sunday 28th September, and Reilly Craig from 2pm on Monday 29th September.
The annual Perth Royal Show is on this week, offering all the usual fun and games. With Side show alley, rides, carnival food, displays, exhibitions, animals, entertainment, and loads more, there is something for everyone. The Royal Show is always loads of fun, for kids of all ages.
Adventure World in Bibra Lake is due to re-open for another fun-filled season on Thursday 25th September, 2014. It's open 7 days a week during the school holidays, from 10am till 5pm, and has loads of fun rides and attractions.
The Universal Bar in Northbridge is offering several Queen's Birthday Long Weekend meal deals. Choose from Pizza and a Pint for $12.00, Chicken Wings and a Pint for $15.00, Steak and a Pint for $17.00, plus entertainment and live music all weekend.
Wolf Lane kicks off the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend on Friday 26th October, 2014 with a Happy Hour between 4pm and 5pm. Then from 5pm to 6pm enjoy a complimentary Queen of Hearts Cocktail, and delicious platters, at the Wolf Pack Member's Party.
Cinema complexes, such as Hoyts, are open over the Long Weekend. Take in a new movie, such as The Maze Runner, Sin City, or Into The Storm, or take the kids along to see The Boxtrolls, Disney's Planes, Fire and Rescue, or The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Most Shopping Centres are open over the Long Weekend so you can get in a spot or retail therapy or maybe start your Christmas Shopping early.
The popular Fremantle Markets will be open all Long Weekend, and so will the E-Shed Markets. Pop down to Freo for a little relaxation, grab a coffee or lunch and wander the markets looking for a bargain.
These are just a few suggestions for this upcoming Long Weekend and there are many more, remember to visit the websites to check opening times and session times. Of course you could just take it easy and relax at home, but if your looking for something to do, there's plenty out there.
