Anniversary of a City Icon
The iconic Queen Victoria Building on George Street in Sydney's CBD is 120 years old this year. Thursday 19th July is QVB's official anniversary celebration. This historic building is one of Sydney's most popular for both its stunning architecture and quality shops. The birthday highlight is the QVB Memory Lock which is a three-dimensional keyhole installation that spans three floors under the dome. Visitors will be invited to share their treasured QVB memories by placing an individually numbered padlock on the keyhole installation. It has borrowed the idea from the famous 'Love Locks' of Pont des Arts footbridge over the River Seine in Paris.

As part of the evening, you can enjoy live music, performers and entertainers roving the QVB centre. To add to the celebratory atmosphere, there will also be a complimentary champagne, wine and cocktail pop-up for customers to enjoy while they experience retailers' celebrations, exclusive discounts and special shopping incentives which are only available on the night. You'll have to wait for a long time to attend something this special if you miss this fantastic night.
